I'm learning to maneuver online selling...finally

Notice to your right you will see a buy now button for the pattern to the Silky Bamboo Tribal Panel Skirt. It's $5 if you would like to buy it.

whew!

Also this week I finally posted my Good Karma Cover ups for sale on Etsy! yay! Originally my friend Karma asked me to make her a pair of pantaloons, she bought this really expensive fabric (which I hated sewing btw) and too much of it. So I looked at the left over fabric and thought there was enough to make her a cover up.
Since then I have tweeked the design a bit and finally have it up for sale. It's a wrap around, you see it here modeled by my daughter Jillian in a lace fabric, which is one of a kind since I don't have any more of that particular fabric. Last week while downtown I found some really lovely stretchy thicker fabric in a variety of colors and bought a few home to test out. I hope people like this design...I guess they do since I have already sold the red one and I still have to put one sleeve on it. I'm happy!
These are some of the fabrics available at the moment.

Silky Bamboo Tribal Skirts

I've actually been making these for a while now for my troupe mates in She'enedra. Now I have some available for sale on Etsy and I'm going to be making the pattern available for sale as well.

They are really soft and silky and move beautifully while dancing. If I can find some video I will post it but for now here is the eye candy.

Caddy Shack

I've never seen the movie but apparently some people think I need to see it. Why? Because some one has a gopher issue, and I have gopher issues...almost every year!! I have been working hard on my vegetable garden this year and watching the little seedlings come up and also watching the signs of gophers. What do other people do about this?

This is where there used to be an artichoke plant...it's neighbor appears to be safe as I planted it inside a large pot that I dropped into the ground.

I even saw a gopher creeping along above ground one day when I came upon it unawares! I suppose I should have caught it, but I spent my time trying to get the new cat Jenny Linsky (who was supposedly quite a mouser) to come and catch it...she didn't seem interested AT all! The dog was interested but she digs gigantic holes and steps on seedlings. What am I to do?
Here are some snow peas that I also planted in a large pot above the ground safe from the gopher's notice...

Holes....
I have added Caddy Shack to my netflix list...I wonder if I will be amused.

May Day again

I should go back and check how many times I've blogged about May Day events here! This year our party was lovely. I was a bit worried it was such a windy morning. Fortunately it died down before our guests arrived.

Here are pictures from the party...

‎"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."

Renate Hiller - "On Handwork"

Renate Hiller's words and thoughts express so deeply and well what I want to say.
